For its time, the 1967 FANTASTIC FOUR animated series from Hanna-Barbera was pretty good. It had decent animation, good action, strong scripts, and a really jazzy little theme song:

That was H-B at their height, when their adventure shows ruled the roost. The FF looked like Disney, compared to the much lower budgeted Gantray Spider-Man or the Marvel Superheroes cartoons (though they had Kirby and Bill Everett original artwork). Darrel McNeil’s book, Toth by Design, has some nice model sheets of the show, created by the master Alex Toth (mostly the villains).
