True enough, with the amount of books Stan was scripting at the time and the “Marvel Method” Stan was using with all his artists back then, those guys very well could have been the creation of Wally Wood.
I think you will find that the cat-man and bird-man are actually part of an Unholy Trio… and that they may have been created by Wally Wood, thought scripting was done by Stan Lee.
Personally, I didn’t start following DD until about issue #25 and the Leapfrog…and at first, I was thinking that Leapfrog might have been Frog-man from the Unholy Trio, IIRC.
