Absolutely. So much of my vocabulary as a kid came right from Stan.
Stan is absolutely right about using big words…I learned their use through the context he used them in. But still, there were a few that sent me to the dictionary…and I remember them still: jackanape, fascimile, and probably a few more that I don’t recall. But I do recall the TONE of the writing…the humor, the insider club-house feel, and the self-parody and hype. Such good memories, and it worked!
